Im not gonna argue back and forth, its not worth it.
I get disgusted at times, because it seems no matter how hard we work to take care of everyone, there is no way to win.
Reminds me of something that happened at the car dealer I worked for many years ago.
A guy gets into his new car, and backed it into a sign post we had in the lot, and came in screaming mad, because he didn't know the post was there, and expected us to repair it free of charge!
I fail to see the logic in his thinking.
He ran into the sign, not one of us.
I myself would have came in, and told them what happened, and asked them if they had insurance for something like this, or what my alternatives were.
I have found that presenting yourself in a decent manner, instead of going ballistic, gets better results.
To finish the story, Yes, the owner did take care of it, but rest assured, he would never have any respect from anyone in the store ever again!
What I enjoy is a lasting relationship with a customer. I would rather get to know each customer as a friend, and work with them in that relationship.
If we have a disagreement, we should be able to work it out if we both have respect for each other.
I think alot of people have negative views of dealers, and thats too bad!
I have been screwed by a local dealer here before I even began working in this industry, so I know how it feels!
Some dealers reach out to sell their bikes, by advertising extremely low prices, with the thinking that the further a customer lives from them, the less likely he will be to return if he has problems, thus the less personel they have to employ.
These are the dealers to avoid, they are the ones that CANNOT cope with you, since all they are about is moving product!
They try to make money by selling Huge quanities of product, with a tiny margin, and unskilled personel hired to set-up machines, NOT repair them.
Find a small mom and pop dealer, and make friends with them, don't expect to haggle with them, as they know what kinda margin it takes to pay the bills, but expect extremely good service!
Get to know them before you buy from them. Meet the techs, service and parts people and see what they are like.
You will know if they are WORTHY enough to be selling these awesome machines, along with having the ability to service and repair them!
If you are able to service your bike without support,(your own mechanic) buy from anywhere, then it doesn't matter.
Oh, and another thing that REALLY matters to Suzuki, is surveys. Fill them out and be honest!!
I cannot stress that enough, Suzuki will investigate dealers that have low survey scores!
OK, I will shut up now
