you gotta be carefull when puting the starter gear cover back on and make sure its on all the way.On the starter, If you slot the holes all the way to the end, and take a die grinder with a 1/8 inch cut off wheel and trim the raised area around the output shaft, not the o-ring area the next step up , its about 1/8 inch tall, cut it smooth to the case end and flush up to the drive -o-ring , then the starter will go all the way in to the reduction gear and the kick back is'nt as damaging.
