The ideal photo needs to be clear, bright, with the sun or light from behind the camera so shadows are minimal, in focus, with an aesthetically pleasing background.

It IS an awesome bike! Dennis did put it together but it's had a shit load of work done to it since then. If I take it to Biketoberfest I'll be in your area. Should I stop by so you can take it for a ride?

Me and my Busa on the left. We went up against eachother at a D.U.B. Show and I took First and his 2nd. My Spinners, Nitrous, and Color Changing Paint takes his Paint and 300 Big Wheel Kit every time! He didn't enter the Metric Show.

Great Grips, had to mod the CF bars a little more then I wanted, but the fit is secure. Watch those bar-end slider thing's, they tend to need a little snugging every few thousand miles or so. Rizoma is top notch stuff.
I really wish I had a few of those extra gauges like you have - Very Nice Setup! Anyhow,This bike has been a 3 year relationship & just when I thought "I had it" - well, now I have the boost bug...I know, I'm completely Screwed...No need warning me.

what kind of swingarm and how long? how do you like the brock davidson sidewinder? if you can take another picture of the bike once its all put back together! thanks. if you dont mind what was the cost of swinarm and the pipe? you got the powercommander right/

Oh yeah i forgot I have a power commander too. This is actually my second busa. I had a 03 anniverseray busa before that I had to sell unfortunatly. I am hoping to make this one much faster. So far I ran 9.50's on this bike stock wheel base.

I purchased the new arm and the sidewinder from SchnitzRacing.com. They are close to my house. If I order from them today its at my house the next day.

Go to Home Depot and get gutter guard. Next, cut, bend it and epoxy it to the inside of fairings.

Most of the mods are just cosmetic stuff with the exception of a TRE/gear indicator, Power Commander, Rostra electronic cruise control (http://www.rostra.com/ (http://www.rostra.com/)), axle dress up kit, HID low beams, grip heaters, Yellow box and Akrapovic pipes. I changed the mirrors, cut the rear fender, added a screen kit, Clear Alternative turn signals and brake light and Double Bubble windshield. I've also painted/powder coated/ceramic coated or dry filmed over 260 nuts/bolts and misc hardware black.

Nah, I have been parting it out for a few weeks. I have spent enough on that thing over the past 7 years to pay cash for about 3 bikes. I cant make it handle, stop, accelerate, and get 35-40 mpg like a bike does. We had good times though. We still have my wife's 68 anyway.

Thanks a lot! I had the yellow front fender til I got too many rock chips and decided to put on the carbon fiber I had bought back in 02'. It matches my cans and the rear hugger. I have 50K on the bike and about 40K on the paint job. That pic is only a couple days old.

Bought it in March 2007, then hurt my back in May so she only has 1100 miles on her. I have to keep it in a storage unit because there are no garages available at my Apt. complex. I know it looks a little sketchy the way its sitting in a couple of the photos, but trust me, the way the road is at the storage facility it was the safest way. I just need to get a couple things powder coated then I'll be happy, until the turbo bug bites me :lol:

Actually the wind in the tunnel comes into the face of the rider. In order to maintain no disturbances in the airflow nothing can be in front of the rider. So the fan is at the rear and it PULLS air through the tunnel acorss the bike/rider. And that is not me anyway, its Dave O. Rider and builder of the fastest natrually aspirated busa in the world.
Here he is on a stock busa that we used in the Sport Rider article a year or so ago to compare the busa, zx-10, gsxr1000 and the ZX-14. I jsut took the photos and wrote the article.

Good looking piece, I thought about going that route but like twistys more than the drags, geuss thats cause I did the drags for two many years, with the cars and I know sure as s**t if I got into that with the bike, within a year, instead of a nice running street bike I would have a fire breathing monster that needed a battery cart to start and trailer to get to the track, and a second job to support. I know cause I did it with the cars, whats bad is the longer I ride the Turbo the more it takes to not get into that, whats makes it a little easyer is the one shop I hang at a lot are road racers. sorry to jack the thread. theres not much else to do today, its 22 out now and its only supposed to get to the mid 30s

No Problem truth is I get a drip or two out of the busa once in a while the clamps on the turbo drain could be better if the guys at work see it they acuse me of parking it to close to the Harley LOL I'm in knox TN moved from upstate NY in 84

it wasnt a kit a got a the arm raw finish from mcintosh out of ohio and the wheels from tricked out customs and other odds and ends i just picked up wherever i could i did all the work myself and after chrome and everything else still ran in the area of 5500 to 6000... for wheels and swingarm setup

Its just my Tuesday night play toy for Atco, 68" w.b. t-61 turbo on alky making 607 hp, it has deraked trees, 16" front marvic, with all Mcintosh front rack, subframe and dry sump arm, really never measured the arm or tail just know its 68" w.b. its not for any class just for personal fun when we are not running our top speed program, it has accel/msd management and racepak data recording with dash.. Just got the paint today its black with a blue pearl in it!! Should be testing it shortley.. Ijust want to go 30s @200 like everyone else... btw thanks!

I already have the brocks lowering links and strap. I ordered the clutch mod and triple tree last night. It will be at the track friday night. I will buy the extensions and sprockets and chain in a few weeks. See what this thing can do stock power.

Hi. sorry to say I bought Mike Packlers grudge bike. He lied about the whole bike from day 1... It blew the motor first pass at our track. I'm in the process of rebuilding it, everything is hand tight, no tools needed. he's a total scamer. rember this name !!! I got screwed out of 30k on this broken bike. I took off the clutch, the basket nut was loose. all parts were used, he claimed all parts were new !!! in the process of contacting the attorny general in Fl. for court proceeding. he switched motors and gave me a peice of shit. took off oil filter & found alot of metal shavings, not there yet but i'll bet he forgot to tighting valve train !!! what a scammer, changed his ph. # and won't call me back, no womder he didn't want to sell locally. Those are turbo dump pipes. Wastegate and turbo to be exact. Can't run those pipes with an NA application.

Thanks all. Unfortunately I am selling the bike because I absolutely have no time to ride it and instead of it sitting like it is right now, let it go to someone that will use it and enjoy it more. It is an '06 with a whopping 2640 miles on it :cry:.
The Shinko for street use is very fine. I have never ran the bike at the track but other friends that have the same bike with the same parts have ran the Shinko 190 tires and otu of 4 other 14's, only 1 of them is not out of the 9.0's yet. The others are from 8.85 to 8.95 at 153-155 with the heaviest guy at 165 lbs. suited. So that is a very good tire but look at the Michelin too. They are said to be lighter and hook better.

I will as soon as I have some. We're taking it to the 1st AMA dragbike race in valdosta and running it in S/C. It's been a long time since I've gotten excited about a race. As for Red, I figured out my over heating problem and funny idle and took it to Orlando speed world and knocked the dust off of her and ran very good. I want to put a light weight jock on her and see what she'll do. I'm getting to heavy to run those stout numbers. I was thinking about going on a diet and trim down to 165 but 20 lbs. are a lot to lose when all I have to do is put a bigger jet in. :lol: You gonna make the trip down?

Well, Got my "New" Busa yesterday. Left Santa Fe at 8am, picked it up in Pheonix, Az at 430pm and got back to Santa Fe at 2am.

yep too much, overfilled after build, Starter let me know when it dribbled onto lane, made me fill 2 inchs tall. Well lesson learned, slow down pay more attention to the details. Will surely help save face, But im trying.

Hey Jeff, thats a nice bike maybe next winter I may get the ext tail piece, and I see your John Force Fan, he's one of the better pros at the track will take time to talk to you, if he can, Don Garlits is another one will talk as long as you want to listen, and thats some cool four legged bud you have there, just one thing I got to say there is absolutly NO WAY I could ever keep my stuff, shop/tools/floor/cabinets, you know,stuff. that clean I would never find a thing LOL.......good job on the pics :thumb:

Hi Dave. In my case before turbo i was running aspirated engine. and i keep it just for fun ,you don't need it for turbo applications.

6" tail with the hump cut down a little,and arm is a 8-10 trac. yeah i left my scoops as well..was a nos bike for awhile and trying the turbo stuff... so far unbeatable vs.nos... love it

Mustang, eh? Nice looking Busa, Don't short sheet it,, it does more than just the quarter mile, more rounded than the Ford, for sure AND gets 40mpg, all day long, out of the box.

As Cookie said don't sell the Busa short making big HP on a dyno is one thing getting it down the track is entirely something else, I have ben around Dragstrips for a long time and several times a lot of guys thought a particular car would be a real kick ass killer, and when it finaly get down the track its not much, but looking at the equipment its got it should have done a lot better

Ya thats me. Last time around it made 815rwhp and got 24.7mpg! I doubt it will get that this time, but I dont really care now. Im aiming for 1100rwhp this time around. Its never been a track car, more of a road warrior. I just like to rip through gears on the highway and interstate. I love the busa, but I know the stang is gonna take it on the street from a roll. As far as the track goes, my car is a 5spd and to really show its potential it would need a turbo400 or powerglide, but I know with time and one of those transmissions it would have no problem getting deep into the 8s. but ya its just a street toy :)
Sounds like Im bashing the busa, Im not. I really love this thing! When I hit the gas I say to myself damn is my CAR really gonna walk away from this thing!?!? Its so fast! I always get 50+mpg on the busa too!

most 5-speed stangs can't get that mileage stock, you must have some rediculous tuning or gearing to attain that with big injectors :thumb:

yup. its a freak. had the ac kicking too! going 80 with 3.73s out back. its all in the tune. i have the best in the world building and tuning my stang, Tim@MPH.

I download pics to my PC and then after resizing them to 800x600, load them onto Photobucket, a free picture hosting site. From there I use the IMG code from their drop down choices, highllight it (the IMG version) and save and then put it here.

That's one of those land-speed gas tanks. I like them. Were you able to retain all the inner parts of the fuel pump/etc ?

my personal tank, no. my bike was already setup for an external pump when i bought the it, so i wasn't worried about. i'm fairly certain you can buy the tank setup for a stock pump though.

I run one of those with an internal pump, dont know if you can run the fuel level float, I took mine off.

I had the slanted stock-looking tank and I had to remove the fuel guage do-hickey. That's why I asked. For what you are doing, who cares anyway.

Thanks for bringing up the memory. I loved that bike and hated to sell it but was offered a price i couldnt refuse. I regret it somewhat but I really like my new busa and in time when $ is there, I will once again turn it into something I love. :thumb:

Where are those short air filters sold at? I saw it posted somewhere on the board but can't remember.

Pep Boys, Kragens, Advance Oreilys, you just have to ck around there made by Spector, but before you cut up your fairing to put one on, be sure the center of that filter does not go inside the turbos intake flange, or even close to it, it will restrick air flow, worse, that little metal center could come loose, and then your $25 air filter just cost you a $800 Turbo, maybe more, they look cool but are not the best choice

No problem, get on K&N filters websight they have all sorts of sizes shapes, I use the 0800 I think but not sure, but they have some with chrome tops that look great, and just to stir it up I DO NOT oil it, with a filter that small when new and fresh its not a problem but hanging out in the wind like on a bike, it gets dirty real fast then with oil in it it get real restrictive, stays a lot longer if its not reoiled

Ya, have a K&N 4.5 by 3.5 with the slight angle (something like that). But I like the stealth look. Hay I just realized you are actually awnsering my questions. What about this one "Do you know anything about Setrab intercoolers cores Air/Air or know the deminisions of the MCexpress intercoolers?"

I've been running a K&N RF-1030,cone shaped with a flat chrome end.Pretty good sized filter(3"x5"x6.5" long)and seems to be ok.

Those wheels are by MiniLite, which is the style Mazda copied for the Miata.
The car is mid engined and weighs around 1000 lb. so the performance with the Hayabusa engine is unbelievable.

Cool! Which pic is the most recent? I imagine the top because the bottom one shows the muffler on, mirrors on, and no swingarm extension.

I convert between "Race mode" and "Street mode". I put the extensions on and lower the bike, etc for race weekends. I race it 5 or 6 times a year, just for sh*ts and giggles. It's a daily driver with over 400HP, although crippled to 300HP for the street with pump gas. run C16 on race weekends and crank up the boost.

The Primer is a light grey, Hot hues lemon Glow 3 coats, Arancio Borealis 5 coats, 6 Clear coats ppg 2042. I am getting ready to repaint it with a diff base. Same Orange.

Pep Boys, Kragens, Advance Oreilys, you just have to ck around there made by Spector, but before you cut up your fairing to put one on, be sure the center of that filter does not go inside the turbos intake flange, or even close to it, it will restrick air flow, worse, that little metal center could come loose, and then your $25 air filter just cost you a $800 Turbo, maybe more, they look cool but are not the best choice

I've put a set of Dunlop Q2's on there when I got it home and have about 4k on them and the sides are worn down pretty good. I'm not much on the rolling burn out type of thing, more of a curve addict myself.

That's good that you went to an aftermarket pump, my fuel pressure regulator was putting out to much, so I just swapped it with a 2000 pump I had laying around, took apart my original pump, and the screens were not to bad, I was surprised, I guess that redline fuel cleaner is as good as they say it is

Yes sir at only 10 psi its a beast and the smoothest running turbo busa i have ever owned. its beeen to cold to run at the track as they are closed now =(

Weird thing is i bought them used and was set on powdercoating them black. I just threw them on to see it and here we are a year later and their still gold. I don't see them getting coated anytime soon. lol. Same thing with the blue. Bought it thinkin i'd have it all painted black. Still blue and staying for awhile.

I purchased a bare frame then cut the He** out of it, I've got chrome bolts for the old upper front motor mounts hole, it has 3 sets of motor mounts just hard to see in picures

Nope, it is a Tiforce Dual full system. I dont have any mounting brackets for the cans yet. Debating running the Tiforce or a brocks Dual ct system. Ultimately would like to run a CT megaphone.

1st Gen Hayabusa with an older RCC turbo kit (all ceramic coated, including the turbo), polished and PC blue plenum, 8lbs of boost, autometer nexus boost gauges built in to custom tank, custom fabed front end, gsxr1000 limited edition front end, PM wheels and brakes, C&S SS arm, custom paint, front/rear/landing gear air-ride, hidden switches built into grips, plenty of one off machined parts...and a bunch of other items I can't remember right now.
I have to thank you guys for helping with the build, I got allot of advise and help from the sponsors and people here. I just have to sort out the tuning of the engine and we are on the road to the shows.

Getting the fairings to connect to the nose was hard. The holes didn't match up. 30 minutes for each side. The holes for tail light are off too. I'm using two of the three. Hope my light doesn't fall off, at night. Other than that, everything went on smooth.
-I think the cell phone camera and sun together created an over saturation of the picture. I will take some more with another camera to see.

Too much to name on the bikes. RC Components wheels on both bikes, Elka Stage 5 suspension on one, Yoshi pipe on the other, Coffman exhaust, 240 rear on one, the list goes on and on.
But thanks for asking. Oh, and I never have that much trash. But the recycle bin is always full.

So I sent off a core, and now there's one on way back from RC Performance.
