Title: 06 busa crank but no start.
Post by: senior_lp on June 25, 2013, 10:21:32 AM
I have an 2006 Busa that once started and ran fine but now just turns over. I know it's getting fuel but I think not all my plugs are firing. Plugs are new and so is the battery. I did leave it outside with no seat on and then it rained big time. Every since then, nothing. I have eliminated all the switches and relays as bad. Turns over strong but that's it.fuel pump primes. Any ideas. My guess is ecu, I do get an f1 after holding the start to long.

Did you check the code?

My guess is something with the cam sensor.

I've always assumed the f1 went to the ecu. Don't know how to check can sensor but People did say they thought my timing was off. Didn't even start with my tre disconnected.

There is a plug on the rear, left side of the bike (as you set on it).  If you jump the two wires, it will tell you the codes where you are reading the "F1" code now on your dash.  You can download the manual somewhere.  Do a search, I'm sure you'll find it.

F1 is formula one, Fi is fuel injection!!

You laugh, but I had a fella mad as he11 with me because he couldn't find the "F1" fault code.

Can I pull the cam sensor and give it a cleaning if need be? Or if it's bad, it's bad. I haven't gotten the chance to pull the fi codes, I'm just jumping ahead to just ensure I have all the info needed.

So I jumped the connector and the code received was c00. Any other ideas?
