Same engine 1340. I haven't been this disappointed in a long time. Not sure if I will buy it now. 1440, sold/ 1340 + electronics not so sure. How do you all feel?

A quick glance at the dyno curve shows less power at 10K and above. Geez! :crap:
Well at least without gobs of mechanical change, parts will be available for all years. And I do like the attempt to increase Aero.

New crank ( like APE straight shoot oiling ? ) means new block. A different looking cylinder and a new head. Slipper clutch. Well. I dont think I will be buying a bike with lots of gizmoes I really dont need. I need HP.... not a TV screen. I ned Noice, not a catalyc converter. I need light handeling, not a 300kg beast.... But I doo like the look... much better than gen II :)

Did we get an actual weight?

Disappointed also ! 1340cc and 18,599 you can keep it, Suzuki just want to keeps sales going, and no ground breaking technology , I might grab a gen 2 left over if they discount them, but a used H2 or H2SX is a better deal and flashed there a monster.

Looks like it is still a cross drilled crank. I'm not sure the block has to change to accommodate it, it is just making mains 1,3, and 5 just crank journals, and 2&4 combined crank / rod oiling.
-
That's what I was thinking John, you drill a new galley off the main, and just drill the crank differently.
-
Correct me if I am wrong. The new engine modifications make it a little stronger down low and in the mid range, but the top is same. It looks good, except for the exhaust, with lots of gizmos and gadgets. I don't see it outrunning liter bikes or anything in it's class. I am going to buy one as soon as a good turbo kit is made for it. :trb:

I'm not sure anything would change in the cases, all 4 mains are still oiled and unless they restricted the oil for some reason they wouldn't "know" if they were also feeding rods or not

Thanks for the pictures and information. Hope it receives solid reviews.

That looks great!
