Larger In Tank Fuel Pump?
« on: May 18, 2012, 01:58:34 PM »
Looking at the data from Mojave, I think I am out of fuel pump on the top end. I kept adding fuel but only small changes were showing. What IN TANK FUEL PUMPS  should I be looking at?

 Thanks for any help!

Walbro 255 or a bosch pump.

You could also be out of injector.

Are you running a stock tank and pump?

Are you running the bike that is in your signature? If so, you are probably right at the limits. I would recommend an increase in pump size as well as increasing the pump pressure if you are still using stock injectors.
Any day on a motorcycle like this that ends just needing parts and labor is a good day.

Steve, I run the Bosch #69420 and s2000 injectors on both my bikes. The 1340 ran out of pump/injectors on MR12.

I am using a stock pump with with a crushed regulator (58psi). The injectors are stock as well. We bumped up the limiter to 11200 so I stuck a 6 in the 100%tps. After the first run the Wego said to add another 7. We did that and we were still @ 13.5afr. I was wanting a 12.6, added another 6 and got a 13.2. What do ya think?

At least bigger injectors. What we need is a program to adjust the pusle witdth of the injectors.   :)

So more fuel pump wont help fueling on the top end? What size injectors should I look for? I put some 2000s in and couldnt pull enough fuel out so I put the stock ones back in.

As I said I run s2000 and bosch pump. I flash 150% compensation in my ecu. That gets me pretty close.

Steve I am not sure all years fit, I think the ones I have are around '01-03. Are you going to be at Mojave Magnum. I probably already asked but CRS strikes again. :hys:

CRS, HA! I have it too! I won't be at the Magnum, I can only make it once a year because of work and money, and money, LOL! I missed a set of 2000's on ebay today because of a PLC class I am taking at the JC. They were for a 04 but they looked like they would fit.
Good luck at the Magnum and have fun!

I will do it. By the way, in your signature you say "I only want to do 200mph once" :hys: That's what I said 5 years ago. Look where it led. :bike:
