01' Busa Cam Chain Tensioner Life?

2001 Busa. 24K. What is the service life of the stock Cam Chain Tensioner?

The tensioner or the chain? Really I would do it if it was making noise or on a rebuild as long as it's a stock motor.

The 'Tensioner'. No trouble and no noise. Just curious when a new Tensioner is to be expected.

They can fail, but be more worried about the chain!!

i replaced the chain on my 99 turbo at 59k, the chain showed no were or streaching, i could have reused it but was apart so it got replaced, the tensioner is nothing but a spring/plunger and oil line, what is the to fail??
the guides is what u should worry about, all three of my guides had many many cracks in them
alcohol is the cause and solution to all my problem,s

it burn,s when i pee

tattoos and harley,s  both image enhancers

.  What is to fail? Well the roll pin can come out causing the shoe to come off and the other pin in the body of the tensioner, the little spring that resets the mechanism can fail and the springs pops out!!I've seen it happen. You go ahead and do what your want!
