Is it true that some 2007 Hayabusas are Gen 1 while others are Gen 2? If so, how do you tell if a 2007 Hayabusa is a Gen 2?

It's a obvious difference between Gen 1 & 2. The Gen 2 started in 08, I just remember one color being offered.

the differences would be the body style right off the bat, are you saying there were 08 gen 1's or 07 gen 2's?

If I remember correctly
My buddy had to wait for his Gen2 08 because they came out late, compared to when the new models usually do
and they stopped production of the Gen 1  a little early (they became scarce in the showrooms)

never heard of a gen1 with the updated TBs,electronics and not to mention the bodywork
