FI light comes on and engine shuts down.
« on: July 31, 2020, 12:43:20 PM »
My FI light came on last night and engine just died. The bike would start back up, but as soon as you moved it, it would shut down again with the FI light coming on again. Once I got it home in my trailer, I could actually start it up and get it into the garage on it's own. Obviously a sensor! But, which one? Everything ran as normal throughout the entire ride. No warning! It just died with the FI light coming on. Anybody have any ideas as to what sensor it could be?

You would have to bridge the dealer plug to get the code for the FI warning
but first guesses would be battery terminal (although it does restart it could be loose )
side stand switch
even fuel pump / fuel pressure

Yeah
get it to trip the FI light                    LEAVE THE KEY ON
under hump or seat   I forget OEM when it pokes out

find white, rubber caped electrical plug, paperclip or piece of wire, jump the two wires in there
Clock will flash codes
