I'm with you on the 210 mph(The speed agreement was for Europe, not the USA even though all brands honor it, BMW idea, then they go over 2 mph 09 S1000RR), The speedometer is on 180 or 185 mph, should pull another 20 mph
The tachometer is on 10,000 rpm there is more speed in it ! The clutch cover is really beefy,  like a lock up style cover, so its stronger with maybe DCT(QS on dash) transmission,  remember Suzuki filed a patent 2 years ago for a special transmission,  the wheels are really thin spoked. All we really need to know is the motor a 3 part design  ? Head, cylinder block, and base? Will a turbo bolt on ? Did you guys notice the rider shifts the gears no clutch or rolling of the throttle  ?

What I think we’ll see come Friday about the Gen-3 Hayabusa reveal. No it won’t be an all new bike but it will be a pretty big update.

Will it have some form of forced induction, no...

I think it’ll be 1400cc+ N/A setup but what combo?

Current Gen-2 is 81mm x 65mm = 1,339.78cc

1) Will they go with a slight piston increase to 84mm x 65mm = 1440.86

2) Or keep the stock pistons and stroke it for more torque 81mm x 70mm = 1442.84

3) Or maybe a toned down 81mm x 68mm = 1401.62

4) 82x66 = 1397cc ....   But I dont know... I just feel that going onw mm on the bore is safe for the factory and then just 1mm on the stroke to keep it under 1400cc..

I also hope they make a better head. The original head is good but not perfect.

Just went on the suzuki page a hour ago  ! I'm disappointed 1340cc, and $18,599 price tag, no boost, etc. A lot of new features,  wheelie control, quick shifter, bla, bla, bla, the black bike is gorgeous,  the other colors dont look that good to me. O well maybe the hp will be there and the motor looks to be a 3pc design.  I'm digging the 2020 gen 2 in all burgundy if I can find a real good discounted price on one. My ZX14R was 12,600 out the door, so the sticker was like 10,600. Why suzuki ?

The horsepower tanked as well. Slightly more torque but less HP. I'm disappointed as well.

Looks like Suzuki was interested in making a bike with a lotta technological advances but not interested in making it faster than the competition.

I wonder what will happen if you throw a Rotrex on it. Will it wreak havoc on those "new and improved" technological advances.

Here’s one plus:

The Gen 3 being such a flop means gen ones and gen twos aren’t as “outdated” as they could be.

One thing I would like to throw in on this argument, with all that wonderful validating data.

They put out cars that exceed 200 miles an hour, and they expect the drivers to be responsible for that. Many are, many are not.

Why shouldn't Suzuki exceed the gentleman's agreement, which we have more than worn out over the last 20+ years, and give us a 200 mph factory bike ?. Me personally, on my bike I've been so close to the 200 mph barrier so many times, and yet with the proper conditions, and safety precautions, it's perfectly acceptable to me. The fact that they're trying not to make this bike a death trap which, many bikes already are, is simply folly. Let the rider be responsible.

The crazy thing is two fold ! The European agreement was for euro models only, suzuki and the rest of the brands just restricted all big bore bikes. 2nd emission in Europe are way tougher,  so why not create a generation 3 with 2 versions (Like the 49 state bikes back in the day) A hayabusa for Europe with milder cams, and a 186 mph limiter,  here in the USA a hayabusa with better camshafts, and no top end restriction and of course  bigger cc's turbo etc. And we need to ask the magazine's companies to not splash 200 mph on the front covers. You don't see hellcats or ZL1 advertising this will do 203 on the cover, draws to much attention. Kids, and parents  !

Anybody ever think the 2022 hayabusa looks like a Honda blackbird/cbr1100xx front, and the tail section like a TLR1000 ?
