I don't think refinery proximity matters... there is a Chevron refinery about 50 miles from Lafayette and I pay $1.50 for 93.

I work within 1 mile of a Chevron refinery and there is a Chevron gas station next to the refinery that is charging higher prices than other stations further away.

$1.47 in southeast Kansas for 87 octane.  I can go 25 miles to Joplin, MO and get it for $1.34.  Kansas insists on screwing us.

$1.26 in Dallas at a new Albertsons.  Probably just a new store opening come-on.

Jynx-its your socialist state's politicians and lawmakers.  Wi requires a 9.18% mandatory mark up on gas.  SO if retailers cost is 1.20 they MUST sell for 1.31 or they get fined by the state.  Same with milk, cheese and other products in the state.  All I can say is..MOVE!
