Gonna try one myself--wonder if it will start? :-)

--- Quote from: turbotoys ---did you have to rake the frame with that kit?

No.The frame is not raked on this bike.Actually rode it to dinner tonight. It is ready to tune on the dyno.Very nice kit out of the box.Fuel feels very close.

We have been working on the "Original Ghetto",and should have it ready for the dyno sometime on Tue.

Then it's time to do a few things to the monster.  8)

turbotoys:
look's good keep up the good work. :D

Hank:
Well, just put Christer on his flight back home. Here is a picture of him at work yesterday.

The Dyno gods were kind/unkind,take your choice. While strapping the bike down on the dyno,a "clunk" was heard in the tranny.Christer is not sure what it is,so the tranny is coming out before any pulls are made.
I feel very bad for Christer. He worked very hard, and very late, every day,to get the 3 bikes ready for tuning. The fuel set-up on the bike was quite a project in itself to install. He made sure all lines and fittings were as neat and well placed as possible, with more attention to detail than I have ever seen.I guess the bright spot is that it happened before another event, and nothing was made worse to repair. The "Original Ghetto" bike, which was used for R&D over the winter, suffered a similar fate. The lines for the fuel level sensor had not been hooked up and were taped up in the main loom. The resulting "FI" light and ECU condition made tuning a waste of time untill that is wired up.It also has a new fuel system, and seems fine other than that.It was decided to wait to tune,as a bolt head on the bike had rubbed a groove in the up pipe to the plenum, and wasn't seen untill tracing the wires out for the "FI" signal.Instead of taking a chance,a small weld and adjustment on Monday, along with a couple of wire connections will make tuning correctly possible. After the new fuel set-up was installed, the bike was run,and sounds excellent.I am not sure if 600 will happen---maybe not now,but I am a lot more comfortable with the condition of the bike, now that Christer has looked it over and made the adjustments. The work that was done, was work that Dennis had already planned to do,so I am pretty sure that it will result in improvement. The McExpress kit I installed on the blue bike is a great kit.
I decided to ride it to the dyno.It is about 200 miles from here.It ran great and got 30 MPG(sometimes a little less 8) ).Only 2 pulls were made as by this time it was very late, and everone was tired. The first pull,as assembled, showed 442 HP at 1.4 bar(I think that is what Christer said about the boost). The second pull revealed a loose innercooler to plenum hose clamp. The bike was a little lean(13.5-14.5),so some fuel will be added through the McExpress controller when I return to sanity.I need to go over all the nuts and bolts, and put a new exhaust header to turbo gasket and O2 bung in before it goes back. This is through a full exhaust.
All in all,a heavy duty learning experience, but better here than out on the salt. Thanks to all who helped, and especially Christer for sharing his time and knowledge with me to help this project along.
Hank
