This just goes to show you that some fairly large boost leaks can be overcome by a raging compressor. I took a short ride Saturday night and forgot to tighten the clamps on the plenum boots. I didn't even notice until I took it back apart today. It was making the boost and holding the wheel off the ground in 2nd all the way to the next shift. Should be a little more thrilling now that I snugged em up again.
