Steering Head Bearings
bidwell:
After adjusting the stearing head bearings about a month ago, they were loose again when I checked them last night. So I tightened it more, the nut is pretty tight but there is still some play. Is this indicative of worn out bearings? The steering feels smooth with no flat spot straight ahead. In 14000 mi I don't think I did 20 wheelies with no real hard landings so that shouldn't be it. Has anyone else had to replace them, and has anyone used tapered rollers instead? Thanks!

Where can you order those bearings from???

That is a indication of bearing failure that's for sure. If your nuts are not backing off, check the bearing. You need to get the front off the ground to really feel the bearings.
