05/06 1000 bottle placement help

i have been trying to get a decent size bottle hidden in the tail section of the 1000.
any help from members would be helpfull. i have tried to fit 2 of the 10oz. bottles in the tail but they are just to long.
i have a set of 7oz bottles coming but they wont be he until tuesday. they are 3-4 inches shorter but are still going to be a pain
to remove to fill. the motor already makes good power (189) and i only want to shoot 15/20 hp.

Let me know what the 7oz bottles are like.   I just pick up a 04 1000 and want to do the same mod.   Good luck!!

i just fitted the 2 7oz.bottles and do to the weather i havent been out yet. they fit pretty easy with minor modifications to the upper bolt on subframe. i had to remove the bpd control box for my shifter and remount it so that i could use the whole area but it was no big deal. the bottles sit side by side with both having a 12in. line on them going into a nos y fitting. the solenoid is mounted directly to the y with a aeroquip swivel coupler. from there i have plastic line going into the airbox.....

Post some pictures of the work.   I would really appreciate it.    Are you going to install a NOS and A/F guages?

i put the tail back on without taking any pics. the next time i have it apart i will take some pics.
since i am trying to be as steathy as possible no gauges will be present on my install.
